How it works
Index = star x FKDR squared / 10. Squaring the FKDR is the point: it makes skill count for more than volume, so a 100-star at 10 FKDR (index 1,000) outranks a 1,000-star at 3 FKDR (index 900).

Rough community bands: under 100 is new, 100-1,000 average, 1,000-10,000 good, 10,000-100,000 very strong, and six figures is elite territory.
›Why square the FKDR?
To stop pure playtime dominating. Stars grow forever with games played; squaring the ratio means the skill term outweighs the grind term.
›Is index an official stat?
No - it is a community metric. Hypixel does not compute it, but it is widely used to compare players across different star levels.
